Waldeck Engineering Case Study

Waldeck Engineering

Waldeck Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, had grown organically over the last 16 years resulting in a network of offices throughout the East Midlands. Part of their strategic expansion involved developing a presence in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

As Waldeck Engineering Director Andrew Dent explains “Whilst we have bucked the trend to grow our business in recent years, we recognised the challenges we faced when moving into a new region. The ideal scenario for us was to draw upon existing knowledge of the area to help accelerate this process. Our Managing Director, Paul Waldeck, had met Steve during his work in the East Midlands and recognised that he had an extensive knowledge of the area and many established contacts. Equally as important in our eyes, he had the professional standing, respect and gravitas to represent our business in the manner we wished to portray.”

From an initial strategy meeting with key directors of Waldeck Engineering, a detailed marketing plan was developed for the Humber area through segmenting and targeting the key organisations and individuals with a major influence in the construction market. A series of meetings were set up where Steve accompanied Waldeck’s Regional Director to assist them in developing their presence in the area.

“Our experience with Steve was excellent and we would not hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to other organisations. In particular his great communication skills and understanding of clients requirements enabled us to develop relationships and use key information to tailor make our service offering.” said Andrew Dent.
